What You'll Do

As a Know Your Customer Analyst based in Sydney, you will oversee the entire KYC lifecycle for new client onboarding within the investment banking division. Your responsibilities include collecting documentation, conducting reviews against standards and regulations, and serving as a point of contact for stakeholders and clients. You will manage multiple priorities, handle escalations, produce reports, and drive process improvements.

  • Manage the end-to-end KYC process for new client onboarding, product or business extensions, and remediation activities within Global Markets.
  • Gather and review KYC, compliance, and regulatory documentation from various sources.
  • Perform initial screening to ensure compliance with global and local regulations.
  • Handle escalations and communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.
  • Identify risks and monitor issues until resolution with root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams for pipeline management and timely account openings.
  • Develop and report on team performance metrics and business insights.
  • Monitor approvals, audit items, and regulatory compliance until closure.
  • Implement process changes based on regulatory updates and provide training.
  • Support data clean-up, remediation, and process re-engineering initiatives.
What You Bring

Proven experience in KYC or AML roles within financial services, including complex onboarding scenarios involving various entity types. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills are essential. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Dodd-Frank, FATCA, MIFID, and Australian regulations is required. Experience with KYC systems and proficiency in MS Office are also necessary.
