Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic EMR Analyst to join the EMR team at Northern Health. To be successful, you will have the following qualifications and capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Support the EMR team with Cerner EMR implementations and EMR BAU continuation activities.
  • Contribute to the analysis of computerised workflows, clinical documentation, and healthcare informatics to improve patient care.
  • Investigate issues and understand clinical implications, applying critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Manage and triage defects during testing processes and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Maintain high computer literacy and proficiency with standard applications (Microsoft Office Suite) in a healthcare setting.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, conveying complex information with attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary degree in healthcare, eHealth/Digital Health, or related science field.
  • Knowledge of computerised workflows, best practices, innovation, clinical documentation, and healthcare informatics.
  • Knowledge of Cerner EMR implementations and EMR BAU activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and apply knowledge across contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience in a tertiary hospital environment with understanding of clinical workflows in acute and subacute inpatient settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders with an eye for detail.
