Overview

We are seeking Level 1 and 2 Physiotherapists to join our friendly team working in our busy acute hospital setting. As a Physiotherapist you will be responsible for providing high quality assessment, treatment and discharge planning with a focus on quality, safety and patient outcomes. You will be specifically working across our inpatient acute wards including ICU, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and neuro/medical wards.

You will work alongside other highly motivated and dedicated Allied Health staff in achieving exceptional outcomes and helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Reporting to the Physiotherapy Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care. Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality assessment, treatment and discharge planning with a focus on quality, safety and patient outcomes, across inpatient acute wards (including ICU, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and neuro/medical wards).
  • Collaborate with other Allied Health staff to achieve exceptional outcomes and rehabilitation goals.
  • Report to the Physiotherapy Manager and work with support from the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure high quality patient care in line with Ramsay Health Care values and strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current Authority to Practice as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum twelve (12) months of experience as a Physiotherapist within an acute hospital setting.
  • Ability to assess, plan and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment programs.
  • Ability to manage caseload demands efficiently.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required.
  • Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and/or weekends and public holidays.
Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
