The primary purpose of this role is to develop and maintain client focus and maximum sales growth for Gallagher insurance products through retaining and building existing client relationships, and by generating new business opportunities.

Key Accountabilities (but not limited to) –

• Managing long-term relationships with key clients who are actively involved with the organization's insurance products, services and solutions
• Developing and maintaining meaningful working relationships clients and underwriters
• Maintaining an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and assist claims personnel in the negotiation of equitable claims settlements on behalf of clients
• Ensuring client needs are identified and met by taking a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients
• Implementing account retention and defense strategies
• Investigating and pursuing new business opportunities
• Developing relationships collaborating with branch network and insurers to deliver solutions and outcomes designed to meet client needs
• Assist and or initiate with the preparation, implementation, management and achievement of business plans, budgets and goals
• Debtor management
• Ensuring compliance of systems and processes with the Financial Services Reform Act and other relevant legislation
• Promoting Gallagher insurance, financial services and premium funding products cross-selling Gallagher products when opportunities arise through contact with clients
• Consistently apply ethical and professional standards and practice in all circumstances to uphold Gallagher's reputation and brand demonstrating The Gallagher Way & Values
• Deliver on operational and process changes for efficient client delivery
• Utilisation of our preferred market placement strategies

Key to this role is strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the commitment to deliver a positive experience for all clients. Ideally, you will possess:

• Experience in a similar role in insurance, banking and finance
• Adaptability and ability to work in high volume & high paced environment
• Tier 1 – Insurance Broking qualification or willingness to complete (company supported)
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
