Land Systems Division is seeking experienced and passionate Project Schedulers looking for a new challenge and to be part of an energetic team.

As an APS 6 Project Scheduler, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team, delivering Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability. You will apply your project scheduling skills to support some of the largest, most complex programs in Australia.

You will be working in a diverse workplace that supports work-life balance and offers flexible working arrangements, with generous employment benefits including professional learning opportunities to help grow your career.

Your responsibilities will require you to apply your project scheduling skills and experience across a wide range of activities to deliver and sustain Australian Defence Force capability. These activities may vary from tracking multi-million dollar budgets, assisting with tender evaluation and providing input to submissions to Government, and collaborating with specialist engineering and logistic services.

About our Team

Land Systems Division's (LSD) mission is to acquire and support capability that enables the ADF to generate and sustain deployable Land power for an integrated force, in peace and war. We aim to be agile, innovative and outcomes-focused as we collaborate closely with the Services and industry to deliver the latest equipment to maximise ADF performance.

Our teams work in a dynamic, fast-paced and supportive environment that delivers complex projects. We provide professional and timely support to senior leadership and capability delivery teams. We have insight into a broad range of LSD activities and strategic initiatives, providing an ideal foundation for future career progression within Defence. LSD is dedicated to providing staff with an inclusive and healthy work-life environment, and we will invest in your ongoing professional development to ensure your work with us is deeply rewarding.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be an experienced and committed project scheduling professional able to collaborate effectively within a project management team, as well as with external stakeholders, in order to develop and maintain a detailed project schedule to support the delivery of the required Defence capability.

You will be adaptable and agile and apply your initiative to make informed decisions and proactively resolve problems. As a dynamic team member, you will use your strong interpersonal and communications skills to build collaborative stakeholder relationships, influence change and drive continuous improvement.

You would benefit from experience using scheduling software packages, and have demonstrated knowledge of schedule risk practices such as Earned Value Management and Monte Carlo Analysis. You are able to interpret data and make sound decisions, apply good judgement to support your team to achieve organisational objectives, and supervise and develop project scheduling staff, while continuing to pursue your own self-development goals.
