Personal Trainer or Exercise Scientist – Allied Health Assistant (21+ hrs/week part-time or full-time role available for the right candidate)

Survivor Physiology is a growing exercise physiology clinic based in beautiful Bowen, QLD. We're passionate about empowering people of all abilities to move better, feel stronger, and live more independently. As our clinic continues to grow, we're looking for a driven Personal Trainer or Exercise Scientist to join our team as an Allied Health Assistant, supporting our Exercise Physiologists in delivering high-quality, client-centred care.

About the Role:

  • 21+ hours per week (with potential to increase)
  • Support our accredited Exercise Physiologists in delivering individual and small group sessions.
  • Help implement tailored exercise programs for NDIS participants, older adults, and chronic health clients.
  • Assist with client progress tracking, equipment setup, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, hands-on experience, and career progression in the allied health space.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Personal Trainer (Cert IV) or Exercise Scientist (Bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sport Science or similar).
  • Someone who is reliable, energetic, and passionate about helping people from all walks of life.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using iPads and computers – you'll be required to learn and use our clinic software systems for client notes, scheduling, and programming.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude.
  • Experience working with clients from all walks of life or in a clinical/rehab setting is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Must hold a current First Aid & CPR certificate and have or be willing to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and improve upon your current knowledge.
