About The Role

We are seeking a Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor with a passion to make a difference to the safety & wellbeing of our employees and volunteers. You will work collaboratively with managers, employees and volunteers on a variety of people related policies, procedures and practices for all areas of St John Ambulance Victoria (SJAV). You will build relationships within the People & Culture team and with the broader SJAV community enabling you to assist and support Health Safety & Wellbeing objectives. You will model the values and behavioral expectations that support a safe, diverse and inclusive environment for everyone associated with SJAV.

About The Role

We are seeking a Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor with a passion to make a difference to the safety & wellbeing of our employees and volunteers. You will work collaboratively with managers, employees and volunteers on a variety of people related policies, procedures and practices for all areas of St John Ambulance Victoria (SJAV). You will build relationships within the People & Culture team and with the broader SJAV community enabling you to assist and support Health Safety & Wellbeing objectives. As Our Ideal Candidate, You Will Possess

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in OH&S with accreditation as a Return-to-Work Coordinator
  • Demonstrated knowledge & experience in OHS, and Injury Management/Return to Work including the ability to implement, maintain and monitor relevant systems
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, including ability to collaborate and work with managers to bring about change
  • Strong attention to detail and responsive, proactive attitude with the ability to work autonomously
  • Significant experience in conducting WHS investigations and resolving WHS issues within the workplace
  • High level organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritise requests
