Leading government client based in Sydney CBD is looking for a Financial Analyst. Initial contract until end of Jan 2026 plus potential extension.

As a financial analyst, you will be responsible for the below mentioned:

Responsibilities
  • Review of Agency/Department budget submissions for a 10-year period and full-year forecast submissions for the current financial year.
  • Review of additional budget requests in TM1 to ensure the financials are aligned to the business cases, and submitted correctly in different financial systems.
  • Provision of insights and analysis; working through complex financial statement analysis and reconciling between different financial systems.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience with reporting, budgeting and reconciliation.
  • Previous experience in FP&A roles is essential and previous SAP/TM1 experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience with IBM analytics.
  • Eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
  • A proven record in accounting and experience in the public sector would be an advantage.
