About the Role: Are you an Intermediate or Senior Structural Engineer looking for a new opportunity to make an impact? This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in our Helensvale, Gold Coast office. We envision that the ideal fit for this role would be someone who's a team player, self-motivated and ready to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities- Conduct structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Produce structural mark-ups suitable for issue to clients and for use by the internal drafting team.
- Assist the project team to produce schematic, preliminary, tender & construction documentation submissions.
- Conduct design analyses using accepted conventional methods and the Company's software programs.
- Provide technical support to Graduate Structural Engineers and the Structural Drafting team.
- Assist with the company Quality Assurance procedures including technical reviews of project documents.
- Participate in the construction phases of projects including site inspections, approval of shop drawings, assessment of financial claims and variations, and undertaking defect inspections.
- Attend weekly internal resourcing meetings and assist with project planning and resourcing.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Respond to workshop and construction site queries.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of proven Structural Engineer experience, including 3+ years in Australia (or NZ).
- Ability to apply structural engineering theory to design software packages (RAM Concept, SpaceGass, RAPT, Structural Toolkit, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and team members.
