Electrician

Remote Technical Services has been servicing the Torres Strait Islands for over 8 years. We run an Electrical, HVAC-R, and Helicopter Charter business based on Thursday Island. Our technicians fly to work in helicopters to service the surrounding Torres Strait Islands. Every day is different working in this unique environment.

*Not suitable as FIFO roles (Thursday Island based)

Qualifications & Experience

Electrical/Electrical Fitter Mechanic Certificate

QLD Electrical Licence or ability to obtain if coming from another state

Current CPR/LVR Certificate

Current Open Drivers Licence

Experience with Tradify is an advantage

Senior role requires experience managing staff and scheduling jobs

Unit competencies (UEEEL0030, UEEEL0029, UEEEL0002, UEECD0007) required for QTP are an advantage

Tasks & Responsibilities

Ability to work independently and within a team

Self-motivated

Service all of the Torres Strait's via helicopter

Emergency work may be required on weekends

Quoting and invoicing

Ordering stock

Car with fuel available for use

Accommodation and meals when working 20nm away from Thursday Island

Supportive team environment
