About the Role
This is a pivotal opportunity to lead the end-to-end defect life cycle management within a complex Salesforce environment, supporting up to 10 Agile squads. As the Defect Test Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring defects are effectively triaged, resolved, and reported, driving a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the program.

Your duties will include:

  • Overseeing the defect management life cycle, from identification to resolution and closure.
  • Facilitating daily defect triage meetings to prioritise and assign defects based on impact and severity.
  • Acting as the central point of contact for defect-related communication across Agile squads and system integrators.
  • Leveraging Jira and Xray to manage defect workflows, maintain visibility, and generate stakeholder dashboards.
  • Developing and maintaining defect status reports, including metrics such as ageing analysis and fix turnaround KPIs.
  • Championing a "fix it right the first time" mindset and mentoring junior QA/test analysts on best practices.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in defect/test management roles within large Agile programs.
  • Advanced expertise in Salesforce platforms (e.g., Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) and tools like Jira and Xray.
  • Strong understanding of defect metrics and their implications on delivery risk, with familiarity in SIT, UAT, and production warranty cycles.
  • Proven ability to lead defect governance forums and drive collaborative problem-solving under pressure.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse teams.
  • ISTQB certification (desirable) and experience in government or disability/health-related sectors (desirable).
