Controller - Hybrid in Charlotte, NC

What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll, AP/AR, general ledger, and reporting.
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Provide financial insights to guide executive decision-making and strategy.
  • Oversee banking relationships and financing arrangements.
  • Develop and refine reporting tools to improve clarity and accountability across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives for both routine and ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the accounting team while fostering a culture of integrity and professional development.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience (law firm or professional services background preferred).
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading an accounting or finance department.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, MS Office Suite, and ERP systems/financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Analytical, detail-driven, and solutions-oriented with strategic vision.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical standards.
