About the opportunity
  • Part time, fixed term (0.8 EFT - 64 hours per fortnight) commencing 9 Feb 2026 - 6 Feb 2028
  • Rotational program across Wyndham and Hobson's Bay areas with opportunities to enhance skills in bed-based, residential / rehabilitation and community settings (potential for shift work in the second year)
  • Incorporates a thorough orientation, paid study days, structured training both internal and external, and discipline specific clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions
  • Supported to develop skills in providing high quality client-focused Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions to clients, their family and carers. This will be incorporated in a holistic, recovery oriented, strengths based and culturally sensitive approach in line with the organisational values
  • Be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, and provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers in a high-growth metropolitan mental health program

  • Passionate about mental health, advocacy and recovery
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
  • Have full Australian working rights (must be able to work a minimum of 64 hours per fortnight)
  • Full driver\'s licence (particularly for second year community rotation)
  • Approved degree in Occupational Therapy and current/pending registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Current Victorian Driver\'s License
