The successful candidate will hold cultural authority and deliver education grounded in Central Australian Indigenous knowledges and cultural practices. They will support student orientation to Indigenous cultures and contexts, particularly during placements, and provide academic and logistical support to Indigenous students in Central Australia. This role strengthens the University\'s engagement with Indigenous communities and supports culturally responsive healthcare education in the Northern Territory, contributing to Flinders University\'s Reconciliation Action Plan.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Identification as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, recognised by an appropriate community body.
  • A proven ability to deliver high-quality education and training that incorporates Central Australian Indigenous knowledges and cultural practices.
  • A student-centred teaching approach with a strong focus on learning outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a record of effective student and community engagement.
  • Ability to speak at least one Indigenous language of Central Australia.
