ENTHUSIASTIC & ENERGETIC Mortgage Broker required for a busy mortgage broking business located in Sydney CBD.

The Role:

The role involves being a trusted advisor to our book of new and existing clients. You will work with clients to understand their goals and objectives, and determine the most suitable lender and product for them. You will be supported by a fully equipped back-office team that handles administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on managing client relationships, presenting lending strategies, and converting leads.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  1. Conduct loan strategy meetings with customers to explore refinance or new purchase opportunities.
  2. Educate customers on our value proposition and align their needs and objectives with suitable lenders.
  3. Workshop loan scenarios with lenders or BDMs to ensure appropriate lending solutions for customers.
  4. Manage a pipeline of customers from enquiry through to settlement.
  5. Contribute with the directors of Home Equities to drive positive business outcomes.
  6. Attend professional development programs with governing bodies, lenders, and aggregators.
  7. Network with industry-related businesses to establish new referral partnerships and grow existing relationships.

The role is initially office-based, with hybrid arrangements considered case by case.

About You:

You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a lending role, preferably as a mortgage broker or credit assessor. An understanding of lending policy and loan structuring is essential. An established network of industry professionals is advantageous.

You must be an excellent communicator with strong sales skills, numerically minded, and possess a problem-solving attitude. Ability to handle pressure and multitask effectively is required. Being a team player with a positive attitude is essential. Tenacity and finesse in dealings with lenders and clients are important. Knowledge of Mercury Nexus is a plus but not necessary.
