Your Dream Opportunity

We encourage our Designers to immerse themselves in trend research, identifying styles that embody our brand's essence and push fashion boundaries.

As our Senior Designer for the Middle East market, you will lead design direction across categories, collaborating with the Design Manager to create captivating collections aligned with Forever New's style.

You will work with our in-house pattern and fabric teams to turn concepts into samples, manage the range planning, and ensure quality and fit standards are met.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Stay informed on Middle East market trends via magazines and online sources.
  • Be 'on the pulse' of emerging trends to keep Forever New ahead of the curve.
  • Create visual designs consistent with our brand and product strategy.
  • Monitor competitors and external trends to identify opportunities.
  • Promote innovative product ideas that resonate with our customers.
  • Participate in design meetings, sharing ideas and insights.
  • Collaborate on mood boards, color palettes, and trend research.
  • Define the aesthetic direction, integrating market knowledge and strategic goals.
  • Work with the Colour and Fabric Designer on seasonal color and fabric trends.
  • Coordinate with Buyers on product briefs and sourcing.
  • Present trend boards and ensure alignment with seasonal themes.
  • Research fabric trends and source materials accordingly.
  • Contribute to product development, balancing trendiness with commercial viability.
  • React to performance data, updating designs as needed.

The Skills And Experience You Offer Us

  • Experience designing for the Middle East market is required.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Designer or 2+ years as a Senior Designer.
  • Skilled in visualizing concepts by hand and digitally.
  • Ability to translate trends into commercial designs with attention to detail.
  • Technical knowledge of garment construction.
  • Basic understanding of fabrics and raw materials.
  • Knowledge of critical path elements affecting sales.
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, CAD, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of local and global fashion retail markets.
