The Position
Monitor,operate,maintain andoptimiseAlburyCity'swaterandwastewater treatment plants, including pumping stations and service reservoirs in an effective and efficient manner. The position will ensure the treatment quality conforms to all relevant regulatory and compliance standards.

The Position

Qualifications & experience
- CertificateIIIinWaterIndustry Operationsorrelevant trade qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have & maintain)
- Relevantexperienceinthewaterandwastewatertreatment industry
- Experienceinthemaintenanceofmechanicalequipment within the industry
- Experienceintheuseoftreatment chemicals.
- Operateandmaintainwaterandwastewatertreatmentfacilitiesas directed, including taking corrective action in response to test results and operating issues.
- Performroutine plantinspectionandundertakemaintenance activities as required to maintain operating reliability of the treatment facilities.
- Performroutinemaintenanceactivitiesassociatedwiththe facilities'grounds and buildings.
- Use, handle and store chemicals in accordance with relevant WH&S, and AlburyCity requirements and ensure that chemical dosingisundertakeninanefficientandeffectivemannertomeet plant processes and effluent quality requirements.
- Assistwiththeconstructionandcommissioningonnewassets.
- Undertakesample collection,testingandanalysistomonitorand manage treatment plant operations.
Hours
Based on 38-hour week, working 38 hours across a 7-day spread, with actual days and times being worked in accordance withfacilitiesrosters withanRDOinaccordancewithAlburyCity's RDO guidelines. Hours worked on weekends will attract the appropriate loadings.
