The Position

Qualifications & experience

• CertificateIIIinWaterIndustry Operationsorrelevant trade qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have & maintain)
• Relevantexperienceinthewaterandwastewatertreatment industry
• Experienceinthemaintenanceofmechanicalequipment within the industry
• Experienceintheuseoftreatment chemicals.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Operateandmaintainwaterandwastewatertreatmentfacilitiesas directed, including taking corrective action in response to test results and operating issues.
• Performroutine plantinspectionandundertakemaintenance activities as required to maintain operating reliability of the treatment facilities.
• Performroutinemaintenanceactivitiesassociatedwiththe facilities'grounds and buildings.
• Use, handle and store chemicals in accordance with relevant WH&S, and AlburyCity requirements and ensure that chemical dosingisundertakeninanefficientandeffectivemannertomeet plant processes and effluent quality requirements.
• Assistwiththeconstructionandcommissioningonnewassets.
• Undertakesample collection,testingandanalysistomonitorand manage treatment plant operations.

Hours
Based on 38-hour week, working 38 hours across a 7-day spread, with actual days and times being worked in accordance withfacilitiesrosters withanRDOinaccordancewithAlburyCity's RDO guidelines. Hours worked on weekends will attract the appropriate loadings.
