The Place
Set high above the city streets and boasting some of the best views of Melbourne's skyline and the Yarra River, Transit Rooftop Bar is one of the go-to Melbourne CBD rooftop bars. We are seeking a Venue Manager to lead the team and drive our offer.
The Role
Transit Bar is dedicated to serving a great product with passion, humour, and expertise in one of the city's best locations. As Venue Manager, you will be the face of the venue, lead the team, deliver exceptional service, and manage our close-knit Transit team.
With a passion for all things beverage, you will be a natural behind the bar and have the opportunity to evolve our cocktail menu, create monthly specials, and elevate the Transit list. You will also work closely with our renowned chefs from the 1-hatted restaurant 'Taxi Kitchen' and one of the CBD's busiest pubs, 'Transport Hotel'. As part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales, developing, training, and mentoring staff, and working with the team to further develop the business.
The Successful Candidate
You will have a passion for exemplary customer service and a love of cocktails. An outgoing and relaxed personal style that puts both customers and staff at ease is essential. With a hands-on approach and a natural passion for beverage, you will nurture and develop your team while maintaining high standards in an organized, fun, and passionate environment.
You will also be responsible for the venue's profitability. Working within a leading hotel group, we invest in your development of financial tools to drive Transit's success, which may one day help you establish your own hospitality business.
