Overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Science Teacher whose specialisation is Biology. This role will join the Walford team in a permanent capacity (0.6 - 1.0 FTE) from the commencement of 2026.

About the role

Working collaboratively with the Head of Science, this teacher will deliver an innovative and engaging curriculum, turning the classroom into a space where curiosity fuels discovery. At Walford we enable each student to flourish and achieve her best in a way best suited to her, so join our team and be part of shaping the next generation of scientists, doctors and critical thinkers.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver an innovative and engaging Biology curriculum and contribute to science teaching across related disciplines as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Science and work as part of a passionate team of education professionals.
  • Differentiate instruction to enable every student to achieve her best, in her own way.
  • Support the School's values and Anglican ethos.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative school culture.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience and excellence in teaching Biology, with the ability to teach Physics or Chemistry desirable.
  • Highly skilled in differentiating instruction to support individual student growth.
  • A readiness to join and contribute to a passionate team of education professionals.
  • A willingness to support the School\'s values and Anglican ethos.
  • South Australian Teacher Registration.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (Fundamentals and Masterclass).
  • First Aid Certificate.
