About the role

We are looking to appoint an experienced Science Teacher whose specialisation is Biology. This role will see the successful candidate join the Walford team in a permanent, capacity FTE) from the commencement of 2026.

Working collaboratively with the Head of Science, this teacher will deliver an innovative and engaging curriculum, turning the classroom into a space where curiosity fuels discovery.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience and excellence in teaching Biology, with the ability to teach Physics or Chemistry desirable.
  • Highly skilled in differentiating, ensuring that each Walford student is given the opportunity to achieve her best, her way.
  • A readiness to join and contribute to a passionate team of education professionals.
  • A willingness to support the School's values and Anglican ethos.
  • South Australian Teacher Registration.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (Fundamentals and Masterclass).
  • First Aid Certificate.
