Queensland Shared Services is recruiting permanent Team Leaders in Payroll Services in our Brisbane and Townsville locations. Backfilling/temporary roles in Rockhampton, Townsville, and Brisbane, for various periods, may also be filled through this selection process.

This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.

There are multiple positions available with various work statuses across multiple locations in Queensland.

This role requires your knowledge and experience in payroll service delivery to:

  1. Lead a functional team to deliver 'best practice' human resource, payroll, and establishment services to customer agencies, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with legislative and regulatory standards.
  2. Develop and implement operational team procedures and performance measures to achieve strategic objectives while adhering to service level agreements and budget constraints.
  3. Develop and manage team workflow delegation methods to optimise performance, monitor workflow volumes, maintain internal controls, and ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
