Join a trusted global leader in Animal Health as a Dispatch Team Leader, where you will lead a team to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant dispatch, maintaining customer expectations, in a safe, efficient and high-quality mannerWhat You Will DoAs Dispatch Team Leader, you will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the dispatch team, supporting the Logistics Manager to meet customer demands and operational goals.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Champion and embed a robust Safety culture throughout all daily activities, ensuring compliance and proactive risk managementLead and motivate a team of dispatch operators to achieve high performance and meet daily KPIsOversee and monitor order movements to ensure efficient and timely dispatch of export shipments with accurate and compliant documentationApprove freight invoices promptly and managing freight consumables orderingCollaborate with other departments to address customer enquiries, freight quotes, and coordinate schedulingMaintain Aussieflex (inhouse system) controls to enhance team efficiency, including managing backorders and undelivered stockIdentify logistics procedural gaps and implement corrective actions to mitigate business risks and improve supply chain reliabilityConduct regular staff performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and manage talent development and training pathwaysSupport recruitment, roster management, leave approvals, and timesheet verification for permanent and contingent workersLead remuneration reviews, calibrations sessions, and year-end HR processesDrive dispatch KPI's, focused on shipment accuracy, yield optimisation, and waste reductionEnsure strict adherence to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety policies: proactively report hazards and incidents, to maintain a safe workplacePlan team rostering and rotations based on training and operational requirementsComplete dispatch reports and maintaining clear communication and recordsFacilitate conflict resolution and providing technical guidance across departmentsParticipate in operational problem-solving and support quality assuranceEnsure dispatch systems comply with policy guidelines and are regularly updatedSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance dispatch processes and team performanceWhat You Must HaveProven experience managing teams in a dispatch, logistics, or production environmentStrong leadership skills with emotional intelligence, empathy, resilience, and adaptabilityExceptional time management, attention to detail, and organisational skillsAdvanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organisational levelsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; SAP experience is advantageousAbility to collaborate across functions, demonstrating inclusivity and respect for diversityHigh ethical standards and integrity, ensuring responsible use of company assets and equipmentWhat You Can ExpectAutonomy in your role with strong support from a trusted global organisationOpportunities to upskill and develop professionallyFlexibility and pathways to broaden your skillset and career opportunitiesBeing part of a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive team committed to innovation and excellenceIf you are a dynamic leader with a passion for logistics and operational excellence, ready to make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply.We are proud to be a company that embraces the value of bringing diverse, talented, and committed people together.
