About the Role

Southern Steel Supplies Pty Ltd, part of the Southern Steel Group—Australia's largest privately-owned steel distributor, offers a comprehensive steel distribution service throughout NSW. We are looking for an energetic and motivated Storeperson to join our warehouse team. This is a full-time, permanent role based on the day shift. You'll play a key part in the warehousing and distribution of steel products while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What you'll be doing
  • Handling, picking, unloading, and stacking steel materials
  • Operating forklifts and overhead cranes to move products (training provided if required)
  • Assisting with warehouse operations and distribution
  • Following workplace safety procedures and company policies
  • Working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy
What we are looking for
  • Previous experience in a warehousing/stores environment
  • Knowledge of the steel industry and/or overhead crane experience (preferred but not essential)
  • A forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
  • The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
