The Offering

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as ICT Engineer (MDM Support) - Level 1 / 2

You will be responsible for both general Level 1 / 2 ICT support and Mobile Device Management (MDM) services for enterprise and government clients.

Key Responsibilities

General ICT Support Duties (from Level 2 ICT Engineer role)

• Provide Level 1 / 2 support for end-users via remote tools, phone, and service desk platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365, desktops, laptops, and user access.
• Escalate incidents or service requests as per defined workflows.
• Maintain documentation in the ticketing system and ensure compliance with SLA targets.
• Support IT asset tracking and lifecycle management.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles and technical documentation.

MDM-Specific Responsibilities

• Stage mobile devices for deployment, including:
• Unboxing and quality inspection
• Installing screen protectors and ruggedised cases
• Enrolling devices into MDM platforms
• Installing required applications and applying security policies
• Labelling and packaging devices for deployment
• Monitor MDM dashboards for compliance and performance alerts.
• Provide end-user support for mobile device setup and configuration.
• Troubleshoot MDM-related issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of device asset data and deployment logs.
• Participate in structured shift handovers to maintain 24 / 7 service continuity.
• Follow SOPs and assist with refining MDM support and staging processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years' experience in a Level 1 / 2 IT support role.
• Practical experience with MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SOTI, or MobileIron.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services including conditional access, compliance, and basic PowerShell administration.
• Familiarity with supporting iOS, Android, and Windows mobile operating systems.
• Proficient in remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, ServiceNow).
• Hands-on experience preparing physical devices for deployment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a rotating 24 / 7 roster.

Desirable Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Experience supporting Telstra enterprise mobility platforms.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for device or MDM automation.
• Previous experience in an MSP or large enterprise support environment.
