About the Role

We are seeking a NX Postprocessor Developer to join our CAM team at our Head Office in Bassendean. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and customizing Siemens NX postprocessors to meet specific CNC machine requirements.
  • Collaborating with CAM programmers and machinists to define postprocessor needs.
  • Debugging and testing postprocessor output to ensure proper G-code generation and machine compatibility.
  • Maintaining and updating postprocessor libraries and documentation.
  • Working with Siemens Post Configurator and/or Post Builder to create or modify posts.
  • Assisting in the implementation and standardization of CAM processes across the organization.
  • Providing support and training to CAM programmers in using and troubleshooting postprocessors.

What You Bring:

  • Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in NX CAM postprocessor development or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX CAM, including experience with Post Builder and Post Configurator.
  • Strong knowledge of G-code, CNC programming, and common machine tool controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, Mazak).
  • Experience with 3-axis, 5-axis, Mill Turn, Multi-Function machine post development & experience with TCL or other scripting languages used in postprocessor customization.
  • Exposure to NX Open or NX custom automation solutions.
