Helena College, a non-religious, independent co-educational school for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 located in the Perth Hills. Our Junior School (K-5) is in Darlington and our Senior School (6-12) is located in Glen Forrest. The College provides a rigorous learning programme with a focus on student inquiry, delivering the Western Australian curriculum. From Kindergarten through Year 9 we deliver through the International Baccalaureate Primary and Middle Years Programmes; in Upper School the curriculum transitions to ATAR courses. The School Psychologist is an integral part of a team supporting students, using leadership, advocacy and collaboration to promote student success, provide preventive services and respond to identified student needs, mindful of personal and social development for all students.

Responsibilities- Be the Psychology Board of Australia registered practitioner under the Allied Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), preferably with postgraduate qualifications in educational and developmental, clinical, counselling or school psychology.
- Utilise leadership, advocacy, and collaboration to promote student success; provide preventive services and respond to identified student needs; support personal and social development for all students.
- Work independently and as part of a team; demonstrate highly developed verbal and written communication skills; maintain excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities.
- Contribute to a holistic learning programme by supporting students across curricular and co-curricular contexts; prior experience in an educational setting is desirable.
- Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia under AHPRA, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in educational and developmental, clinical, counselling or school psychology
- Current Working With Children Check
- National Police History Check (satisfactory)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational ability
- Experience in an educational setting is desirable
