An Electricity Supply Industry Technical Traineeship offers you a choice of career paths, following a structured 4-year program that provides opportunities to develop skills in many areas.
There are various electrical Traineeships available in metro or regional areas, starting in January 2026.
As a Technical Trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience while completing an Associate Degree of Engineering externally through the University of Southern Queensland. You'll be paid and fully supported throughout your studies and training.

The remuneration for your role is:
- Under 21 years: from $70,349 per annum % superannuation + allowances
- Over 21 years: from $96,565 per annum % superannuation + allowances

What you'll bring
- Achieved a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 62.7 or equivalent
- You can be a recent school leaver, trade-qualified person, or someone with real-world experience keen to progress your career
- Year 12 English and general Mathematics
Preferred qualifications
- Year 12 Mathematical Methods (Units 2 & 4, C) or equivalent
