Salary
  • Senior Psychologist - $119, 972 to $130,314 pa
  • Senior Specialist - $140,655 - $148,932 pa
  • Plus Environmental Allowance, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

We're looking for an experienced, motivated psychologist ready to lead impactful psychological services atKirkconnell Correctional Centre—a pre-release and reintegration facility in regional NSW.

This on-site role gives you the unique opportunity to lead and shape service delivery in a collaborative environment, surrounded by natural landscapes and free from city distractions. About The Role

As aSenior Psychologist, you'll:
  • Deliver and coordinate high-quality psychological services to people in custody.
  • Provide clinical consultation and guidance within the multidisciplinary Service Integration Team.
  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of psychological care and ensure best-practice models are consistently applied.

  • Manage complex and high-risk cases.
  • Lead clinical supervision and provide mentoring to psychology staff.
  • Drive innovation and research into service delivery and offender rehabilitation.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct psychological assessment, intervention, and support.
  • Guide behaviour management planning and contribute to case planning.
  • Support and supervise provisional psychologists and students.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support reintegration goals.
  • Lead and participate in research and service improvement projects (Senior Specialist level).

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in correctional, clinical or forensic psychology.
  • Expertise in offender assessment and treatment, including mental health, cognitive impairment, and behavioural concerns.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor psychology staff.
  • A collaborative, ethical, and strengths-based approach to service delivery.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology.
  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Eligible to supervise provisional psychologists and students.
  • Ability to work or travel to this location
