About Us

The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia's premier training ground for future leaders and practitioners in the dramatic arts. Located at Kensington in Sydney, it is a Centre of excellence in education and training. NIDA offers practice-based and industry-relevant training across various disciplines including Acting, Design, Costume, Properties and Objects, Technical Theatre and Stage Management, Scenic Construction, Writing for Performance, Directing, and Cultural Leadership.

About the Role

This role involves providing high-level executive support such as managing diaries and calendars, preparing board papers, generating presentations, and taking meeting minutes. You will organise meetings, liaise with directors and stakeholders, and manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. The role requires prioritising tasks, maintaining attention to detail, and ensuring effective information management. Additionally, you will support organisational change by embracing new technologies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration and strong problem-solving skills are essential to deliver high-quality outcomes.

About You

You have a minimum of 12 months proven experience in a similar administrative or executive assistant role. You possess excellent attention to detail, are a skilled problem solver, and are collaborative, adaptable, and capable of creating presentations, board reports, and supporting diary management.

This is a full-time 2-year contract with a base annual salary of $78,382 plus 11.5% Superannuation, based on a 38-hour workweek.

Considerations
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia. This role is not suitable for a working holiday visa holder.
  • A valid Working with Children Check for NSW is essential. You should be willing to obtain one if you don't have it, and support NIDA's Child Safe Strategies.
