Overview

Join to apply for the Clinical Nurse - Geriatric Medicine role at South Metropolitan Health Service.

We currently have vacancies totalling 3.0 FTE (full time equivalent) available to be filled immediately on the Rehabilitation Ward at Fremantle Hospital. Various hours and work types are available, including permanent or fixed-term and part-time or full-time.

Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services. SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth. About The Role

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based nursing care is delivered to patients in a rehabilitation setting. You will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality of care. The Clinical Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure evidence-based nursing care in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Facilitate and promote patient safety and quality of care.
  • Practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.
Qualifications and Eligibility

Are you eligible? To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
