About The Role

We're on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team on a full-time basis as our Stores and Procurement Manager. The Stores and Procurement Manager plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience by leading the procurement, inventory management, and supply chain functions across all sites and vessels. Reporting directly to the Guest Experience Manager, this position focuses on driving financial value and ensuring alignment with operational needs while fostering relationships with suppliers to optimise costs and efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Managing daily purchasing and procurement activities across all Cruise Whitsundays sites and vessels.
  
• Maintaining optimal stock levels through effective inventory management.
  
• Analysing inventory data to inform strategic decision-making.
  
• Negotiating supplier agreements and pricing structures to secure the best value.
  
• Ensuring accurate reporting and budget adherence while maintaining stock integrity across the organisation.
  

About You

To thrive as the Stores and Procurement Manager you must possess a unique blend of skills and experience that drive effective procurement and inventory management. Success in this role hinges on the ability to navigate complex supplier relationships and ensure operational efficiency while adhering to budgetary constraints.

To be successful in this role you will have

• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management to effectively oversee day-to-day operations.
  
• Strong financial skills for effective management of budgets, pricing, and supplier contracts.
  
• Excellent negotiation skills to leverage supplier agreements and maximise rebate structures.
  
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities to monitor stock levels and inform strategic decisions.
  
• Proficiency in stock management systems, preferably Revel or similar, alongside excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  
• Relevant qualification in business / logistics / supply chain management or equivalent experience
  
• Open Australian Manual Drivers' Licence
  
• Forklift Licence
