City of Moreton Bay, Australia Sorella Early Learning Full time

Add expected salary to your profile for insights

At Sorella Early Learning, we believe early childhood education is one of the most meaningful and impactful professions there is. That's why we've built an early learning centre grounded on strong relationships, inclusive practice, and a deep commitment to excellence where children are free to explore, families feel truly heard, and educators are empowered to thrive.

We're now seeking a passionate and experienced Quality and Practice Manager to join our leadership team. This is a role purposefully designed to meet the evolving needs of our service. You'll report directly to the Centre Manager, stepping into that role when needed while leading centre-wide compliance and working closely with our Pedagogy Leader to elevate educational practice, inspire reflective teaching, and drive continuous improvement across the team.

Blending operational leadership with pedagogical influence, this role is all about helping children, families, and educators flourish in a high-performing, values-led environment.

What the Role Looks Like:

  • You'll work alongside the Centre Manager and Pedagogy Leader to:
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the centre, making sure everything runs smoothly and safely.
  • Guide and support our team of educators to deliver high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF, NQS, and sector best practice.
  • Foster a strong, values-driven culture where reflective practice, curiosity, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.
  • Oversee compliance, health and safety, and ensure our environments are safe, engaging, and child-led.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with families and the broader community.
  • Be a mentor and role model for our team and bring out the best in every educator.

Who You Are:

You're an experienced early childhood leader who is passionate about the early learning sector, loves mentoring others, solving problems, and creating environments where people feel valued and children feel empowered. You're confident in compliance, curriculum, and communication.

  • A Bachelor's degree or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards it)
  • A current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training
  • Valid driver's license
  • At least two years' leadership experience (Educational Leader, Assistant Director, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, QKLG, and child development theory
  • Confidence in leading teams, supporting compliance, and driving improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in leading curriculum development, mentoring educators, and supporting the planning and assessment cycle
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality programs that meet the learning outcomes of approved frameworks
  • Experience in a coaching/mentoring role with educators across multiple age groups
  • Experience using platforms like Storypark, Xplor, or other digital documentation tools
  • Previous experience managing budgets or overseeing kindergarten funding allocations
  • Knowledge of CCS systems and administrative operations within a long day care context

What You'll Love About Working With Us

  • A warm, supportive team that genuinely cares about your growth
  • A values-led environment where your voice matters
  • Opportunities to lead, learn, and leave a lasting impact
  • Access to great resources, mentoring, and sector-leading practice
  • Ongoing professional development and leadership coaching
  • The chance to shape a culture where children, educators, and families feel truly connected
  • Above award wages

Ready to Join Us?

If this sounds like your kind of place and you're ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, we'd love to hear from you. Please send through your resume and a short cover letter sharing what excites you about this role and why Sorella feels like the right fit.
