Position InformationYass High School is a NSW Department of Education school offering a broad curriculum with emphasis on HPGE domains and pathways. The school values diversity and provides support for students with a focus on equity and outcomes for all learners.
Specific Selection Criteria- Approval to teach English (Years 7–12), including English Extension 1 and Extension 2, and History (7–10).
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, differentiated English teaching and learning programs across Stages 4–6, aligned with NSW syllabuses, catering for diverse learning needs and high expectations for all students.
- Proven capacity to implement evidence-based pedagogy and embed explicit literacy and language strategies across English to improve student outcomes in written, spoken, visual, and multimodal texts.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to foster positive, collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider community to support student engagement, wellbeing, and learning outcomes.
An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
