We are seeking an experienced conveyancer or property lawyer to join our team on a permanent, full time basis.

We are a highly regarded law firm in North Wollongong, specialising in conveyancing and property law matters across NSW and ACT.

  • Our law firm values work-life balance. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm.

  • No hourly billable targets.

Key responsibilities:

The position will cover a vast array of conveyancing matters and duties which may include:

  • Day to day running of conveyancing files

  • Review contracts and prepare clear, technically sound advice for clients

  • Prepare contracts and legal correspondence

  • Prepare and register legal documents including transfers and transmission applications using PEXA and NSW Land Registry Services

  • Manage settlements and complete transactions in PEXA, including handling payment arrangements and issuing settlement instructions

  • Liaise with a broad range of stakeholders including banks, financial institutions, private lenders, real estate agents, and caveators to ensure the timely progression and settlement of matters

  • Providing general administrative support, contributing to the efficiency of the team and assisting with ad hoc tasks

  • Providing direct support to the Principal Solicitor and other senior staff as required

We're looking for a licenced conveyancer of property lawyer with:

  • At least 2 years property law/conveyancing experience in NSW

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on building strong client relationships

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Ability to manage conveyancing files autonomously

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic

  • Experience with PEXA

  • Experience in conducting ACT conveyancing matters will be highly regarded but not essential
