Job DescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity for a solutions-focused, customer-facing Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the appropriate CMI electrical products that meet their specific needs and technical requirements.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position will be based at our Welshpool office.
About the role:
- Planning and managing sales activities in WA, including structured call planning and maintaining an accurate, up-to-date customer database to enhance engagement and service efficiency.
- Conducting in-person sales visits to existing and prospective clients, actively promoting CMI's full range of electrical products and recommending solutions tailored to customers' technical requirements and specifications.
- Consistently working toward achieving and exceeding individual sales targets by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and cultivating long-term customer relationships.
- Assisting with market research efforts and compiling comprehensive weekly call reports for management, providing data-driven insights on market conditions, customer complaints, competitor pricing, and product performance trends.
- Managing the full sales cycle by following up on quotations, expediting customer orders, and ensuring seamless post-sale service to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
About you:
- Proven experience in business development or technical sales, ideally within the electrical industry
- Product knowledge of the electrical Industrial, Mining and wholesaling industry
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, to work within guidelines and procedures and to provide a quality customer service.
- Ability to prioritise and plan workflow to achieve outcomes within identified timeframes.
- Ability to maintain accurate work records.
- Ability to follow quality assurance, workplace health and safety practices as applied in the working environment.
