Job Description
The Opportunity :
Western Sydney Local Health District is urgently seeking a Stage 2 Psychiatry Registrar locum to support the rehabilitation unit at Cumberland Hospital.
You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team managing long-stay and complex psychiatric patients, with a structured weekday schedule and participation in the full after-hours roster.
This is a critical locum for registrars seeking metro-based psychiatry work with great team culture, diverse presentations, and consistency.
Clinical Environment – What You'll Gain :
Manage medium to long-stay psychiatric patients in a rehabilitation settingCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Consultants, Allied Health, and NursingParticipate in structured clinical care and discharge planningGain experience managing complex mental health needs with regular supervisionContribute to a large metropolitan psychiatry service with a strong training cultureEligibility Criteria :
General AHPRA RegistrationPGY3+ and currently in Stage 2 psychiatry training (or equivalent experience)Willing to participate in after-hours and overnight rosterNSW Working with Children Check and Police CheckAustralian working rightsWilling to complete credentialing with Western Sydney LHDLocation – Western Sydney LHD :
