6 months contract with possible extensions

Are you passionate about technology and eager to contribute to an iconic venue? Our client, a renowned cultural institution, is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join their IT team. This is a unique opportunity to work at a place that is not only famous nationally but also admired worldwide.

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive System Administrator to assist the Technology Infrastructure Manager in supporting system operations, maintenance, security, lifecycle and capacity planning of all storage and compute platforms, and the physical environments in which those and other technology systems reside.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years' experience as a technology specialist, with at least 3 years administering compute, storage, cloud and related systems.
  • Significant experience delivering highly available cloud and on-prem technology infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated systems administration experience, ideally including certification from a leading and relevant vendor.
  • A working knowledge of data centre facility principles including power delivery, cooling, physical build, redundancy and resiliency.
  • Experience working in the performing arts sector, recording, broadcasting would be looked upon favourably.
  • Significant experience with the following platforms and technologies:

Operating Systems & Server Management:

  • Microsoft Windows Server:
  • Experience with upgrading servers to Windows Server 2022 or 2025
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with Terminal Server Farms

Virtualization & Cloud Solutions:

  • VMware (8.x and later)
  • Zerto (Version 10 and later)
  • Veeam (Version 12 and later)
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Microsoft 365

Collaboration & Enterprise Platforms:

  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Hardware & Storage Technologies:
  • HPE Synergy, HPE ProLiant, and Cisco UCS
  • HPE Nimble & HDS VSP

Working knowledge of the following:

  • Some knowledge of Linux
  • Exposure to Schneider EcoStruxure ITA and DCE
