The Psychologist role provides psychological assessment and intervention to children, young people, and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, and emotional concerns. This role operates as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of a child or young person's developmental strengths and challenges to optimise their participation and engagement in activities of everyday life.
About youOur ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Psychology clinical expertise and skills within a health setting. Knowledge of psychology services provision in a community health service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members in hospital and/or community health settings.
- Ability to identify areas for service development and contribute to quality improvement and clinical research activities.
- Honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.
- Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate Australian registration authority or association must be provided prior to commencing clinical duties.
- Vaccination against, and ongoing vaccination for, certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
