About the role

The Psychologist role provides psychological assessment and intervention to children, young people, and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, and emotional concerns. This role operates as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of a child or young person's developmental strengths and challenges to optimise their participation and engagement in activities of everyday life.

About you

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Psychology clinical expertise and skills within a health setting. Knowledge of psychology services provision in a community health service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members in hospital and/or community health settings.
  • Ability to identify areas for service development and contribute to quality improvement and clinical research activities.
  • Honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate Australian registration authority or association must be provided prior to commencing clinical duties.
  • Vaccination against, and ongoing vaccination for, certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
