About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Engineer to join a dynamic IT Operations team within a large and diverse organisation. This role will see you take ownership of the lifecycle management of AV installations across multiple campuses, ensuring learning, meeting, and event spaces are equipped with modern, reliable, and user-friendly technology.

The Audio-Visual Engineer will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality AV solutions that support teaching, collaboration, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the selection, procurement, and installation of AV systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to deliver technology solutions.
  • Evaluate venues to identify AV technology gaps and propose upgrades or enhancements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation including design drawings, technical configurations, installation manuals, and user guides.
  • Manage the lifecycle and asset management of AV systems across campuses.
  • Provide hands-on support for AV-related incidents and requests.
  • Ensure all installations align with organisational standards, compliance, and best practices.
  • Occasionally supervise AV Technicians and provide guidance when required.
About You

You are a practical, solutions-focused AV professional with a track record of delivering end-to-end AV projects in large or complex environments. You combine strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar AV engineering or AV technician role.
  • Hands-on expertise with enterprise-grade AV technologies (e.g. Crestron, Extron, AMX, Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, lecture theatre setups).
  • Strong vendor engagement and relationship management experience.
  • Experience in installation, configuration, and support of complex AV systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn.
  • Tertiary qualification in Audio-Visual Production, IT, or related field.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
