About the role

The Senior Release Manager is responsible for ensuring that new releases or versions of information systems and related IT infrastructure occur in a cost-effective, controlled, and coordinated manner with minimal disruption to business operations.

The position requires a commitment to service delivery and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that release packages are tested independently according to the defined test plan prior to migration to the live environment, reducing the risk of incidents related to the release.
  • Managing releases of solution components following agreed procedures to minimise impact on the organisation.
  • Conducting post-implementation reviews to confirm outcomes, identify lessons learned, and develop action plans to ensure the release's effectiveness and that business objectives are met.
  • Reviewing and evaluating the performance and outcomes of new or modified systems to ensure objectives are achieved.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience managing release cycles in accordance with the defined test plan.
  • Proven ability to implement and improve structured release processes in complex technical environments.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical details for stakeholders at all levels. Proactive, with a "can-do" attitude and experience delivering large, complex objectives in dynamic environments.
  • Resilience, excellent time management, and prioritisation skills.
