We're PSC Insurance Brokers, and we're on the lookout for a driven and passionate Compliance Manager to join our team in Melbourne Whether you're a Compliance Manager in insurance or an experienced insurance broker looking to take a step up, we want to hear from you.

THE ROLE

As a Compliance Manager, the main functions of your role will include:

• Supervise and Monitor: Conduct regular practice and file reviews to ensure Broker compliance with AFSL obligations, industry regulations, and company policies. Identify and escalate compliance issues, trends, and potential risks, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Report Writing and Compliance Documentation: Prepare detailed and insightful reports on practice and file reviews, maintain accurate compliance records, and support the Head of Compliance in preparing reports for senior management and regulators.
• Incident and Breach Management: Investigate and manage incidents and breaches, assist in reporting to ASIC, monitor corrective actions, and maintain breach registers.
• Training and Development: Develop and deliver engaging training programs for Brokers on compliance requirements, professional standards, and ethical conduct. Provide ongoing education and one-on-one coaching to ensure Brokers are up-to-date with regulations and best practices.

Other key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking risk and compliance reviews, including developing risk management documents and promoting a culture of compliance and complaint conduct
• Identifying compliance obligations to implement necessary policies and procedures.
• Monitoring legislative developments within the Financial Services Industry
• Acting as the day-to-day primary contact for the outsources internal auditors and develop the internal Audit Charter.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an individual who embodies the following characteristics and qualifications:

• Experience managing high volume/complex logistics under time pressure
• Demonstrates knowledge of technology and standard desktop packages (MS/Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Is driven to learn and passionate about the insurance industry
• Demonstrates integrity and displays good communication skills (oral and written)
• Is a team player who easily maintains solid working relations with colleagues and stakeholders
• Previous experience in Insurance or like role preferred
