What's the role?

Are you ready to make headlines and craft stories that captivate millions? The Daily Telegraph is on the hunt for a dynamic and driven reporter who thrives on uncovering the untold and delivering journalism that resonates across Australia. This is your chance to join one of the nation's most influential newsrooms and make your mark.

As a reporter, you'll be at the forefront of breaking news, chasing down leads and uncovering exclusive angles that set the agenda for the state of NSW. You'll have the option of working in Sydney or from the nation's capital in Canberra. You'll be the one everyone else follows, finding the stories no one else has and delivering content that sparks conversation and drives engagement across multiple platforms.

Your day-to-day will be a fast-paced mix of sourcing, writing, and producing multiplatform journalism that millions of Australians will read, view, share, and talk about. You'll use your networks to stay ahead of the curve, spotting trends and turning them into stories that matter. With an eye for analytics, you'll follow up popular stories with fresh angles, ensuring your work continues to captivate audiences and deliver results.

This role isn't just about reporting—it's about creating journalism that stands out. You'll pitch and deliver unique content that drives click-throughs and engagement, all while working in a collaborative and high-energy environment. Flexibility is key as you'll be required to work some weekends and step outside regular hours to cover special events, ensuring The Daily Telegraph remains at the heart of the action.

If you're passionate about storytelling, relentless in your pursuit of the truth, and eager to make an impact, this is the role for you. Join us and be part of a team that shapes the news Australians care about.
