The opportunity
Due to an increase in demand from our existing client base, we have a unique opportunity for a Principal Consultant, Scientist or Engineer specialising in Contaminated Land Management to join the team in our Sydney office. The role offers diverse, interesting, and challenging work with the opportunity to make your mark in a consulting environment – you will work with our clients to provide pragmatic advice and achieve practical and efficient outcomes.
Key responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Develop our contaminated land management capability.
- Recruit and train contaminated land management professionals to grow our east coast contaminated land team.
- Undertake field programs including premobilisation and safety planning.
- Develop standard operating procedures.
- Develop sampling and analysis quality plans.
- Conduct fieldwork campaigns including soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, supervision of drilling, test pitting, and groundwater well installation.
- Provide high quality analysis and reporting to meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet client expectations.
- Proposal and project lead for the contaminated land team.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Substantial industry experience in Contaminated Land Management.
- A Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Environment, or Science.
- A strong scientific or engineering background in contaminated land and understanding of scientific and engineering principles.
- CEnvP-Sc accreditation will be favourable.
- Desire to work across various industries and develop and grow our contaminated land business.
- Experience with client relationship management.
- Proven understanding of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and National Environment Protection Measures and other current and emerging NSW and QLD legislation, standards, and guidelines for contaminated land.
- A strong professional work ethic and commitment to the health and safety of yourself, your team, subcontractors, and clients.
