Overview

We are expanding our Speech Pathology team and would love to welcome experienced and dynamic Speech Pathologists eager to be part of a multidisciplinary team and make a difference. Successful candidates will provide supports to cover NDIS participants living in the Newcastle, Port Stephens, Maitland and surrounding areas.

We are one of the largest providers to the NDIS, supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need, when and where it is needed. We have a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their family.

We would love to hear from Speech Pathologists with all levels of experience that enjoy the flexibility of working in a range of settings including both a clinic setting and the community.

You might find us in childcare centres, schools, homes, and/or our clinic spaces and even outreach locations as part of our Adventurer Program. Our team is a mix of experience levels and works with a large regional team and a broad multidisciplinary network. We value collaboration with participants' key stakeholders and are committed to clinically excellent, neuroaffirming practices.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Early Years caseload (0-5): Clinic/Home-based early intervention and parent coaching (including speech sounds, early language, feeding, school-readiness)
  • School-aged children (5-18): Literacy, social communication, speech, language, fluency, voice, feeding and AAC assessment and implementation
  • Adults: Functional communication, speech, language, fluency, dysphagia and mealtime management, neurodegenerative diseases, stroke and acquired brain injury rehabilitation
  • Provide neuro-affirming supports to a large neurodivergent population across all age groups
Qualifications
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia as a Speech Pathologist
  • Experience leading and supporting others
  • passion for collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team
  • A desire to make a real difference within the community
  • Experience delivering services under the NDIS
