What You'll Be Doing

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide effective obstetric and gynaecological services to women under supervision, while developing expertise in managing these women in a complex clinical environment.

Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Completion of at least two postgraduate years with a minimum of 1 year experience in women's health, with clinical competence in procedural obstetrics including assisted vaginal and caesarean deliveries and management of obstetrical emergencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment, excellent clinical skills and judgment together with teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical settings and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff/medical students and a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
  • Preparedness and ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
  • A professional attitude and flexibility in work roles with a preparedness and ability to participate in afterhours roster.
  • Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policy.
