Your impact starts here

As our new Associate Director, you'll be the driving force behind Deakin's hybrid cloud ecosystem. You will lead a team of passionate professionals, collaborate across the university and take the reins on strategic multi-cloud initiatives - all while ensuring our infrastructure supports innovation, customer experience and long-term growth.

This is more than just a tech leadership role - it's your chance to help shape the digital backbone of a world-class university.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team, nurturing talent and building a collaborative, future-ready culture
• Design and deliver a robust multi-cloud strategy that aligns with Deakin's strategic priorities
• Drive transformation through the migration of key systems to the cloud, balancing performance, security and scalability
• Collaborate widely, working closely with stakeholders to ensure our multi-cloud services are flexible, integrated and meet diverse needs
• Champion innovation by staying across emerging technologies and bringing new ideas into action
• Own the cloud experience - ensuring high availability, performance and compliance across our multi-cloud environments

About you

You're a strategic thinker and inspiring leader who thrives in complexity and loves solving problems. You know how to turn vision into action and bring people with you on the journey.

You bring:

• Deep technical expertise in cloud platforms, architecture and security
• Experience leading enterprise-wide cloud strategies and migrations
• A collaborative, customer-focused mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement
• Experience in higher education or similarly complex, service-driven environments
