Job Description

In this Full Time, Fixed Term role for 2 months, based in Geelong, you will be responsible for responding promptly to enquiries and requests, processing elective and emergency patient bookings, as well as general administrative duties including data entry. Theatre Bookings at Geelong is open Monday to Friday from 0730 hrs to 1800 hrs, and you will need to be flexible to work a 5-day rotating roster. You will be part of the Theatre Bookings team and report to Olivia Leitnaker, Theatre Utilisation Manager.

To be successful in this role-

Your well-developed administration, customer service and people skills see you adjust quickly and work effectively as part of any team that you join. Excellent with your time management and organisation skills, you can prioritise effectively to manage multiple requirements. Previous administration experience in the health care sector, medical or health fund industry would be advantageous but is not essential.

You will have-
  • Administration experience gained within a service industry
  • Experience with, or knowledge of health fund checks and requirements desirable but not essential
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts across the weekly roster
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Experience in IPM or similar health systems software will be advantageous

Epworth Geelong, located adjacent to Deakin University's Medical School in Waurn Ponds, is developing an environment of world-class health care and education to meet the needs of the expanding population of Geelong and South West Victoria. Our Peri-operative environment consists of 9 Operating Theatres including a Hybrid Theatre, Cath Lab and 2 endoscopy suites. Located all on the one level we have the Operating Theatre, Cath Lab, ICU and Day Surgery allowing excellent patient flow and best patient care. As there is an increased demand for the excellence Epworth Geelong provide to its patients and VMO's, our operating theatres are continuing to expand.
