About the Role

We're seeking an experienced finance leader to build company infrastructure that enables the next phase of company growth. This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for a detail-oriented and process-savvy finance professional who takes pride in getting things right, and getting things done on time.

As our National Lead - Finance, you'll:

• Own the delivery of core finance operations including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, reconciliations, compliance obligations, banking covenant reporting, and cashflow management, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and reliability in every cycle.
• Produce monthly management and project reports that are clear, consistent, timely and trusted by the CEO and National Leadership Team (NLT) to support informed decision-making.
• Lead the development and delivery of the annual budgeting process, working closely with the CEO to set financial targets, timelines, and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, identifying inefficiencies, introducing smarter workflows, and embedding documentation and accountability to lift performance and reduce rework.
• Standardise and improve accounting practices, including treatment of project costs, asset amortisation, and capitalisation decisions, ensuring consistency and audit-readiness.
• Champion the use of Deltek (ERP) to streamline financial workflows and enable accurate, real-time reporting across the business.
• Undertake all external audit preparation, including compiling working papers, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation, while managing the overall audit process through to completion.
• Manage banking relationships, and shareholder administration, including dividend statements, loan management, and share transfers.
• Lead and support a small national finance team, setting clear tasks, coaching team members, and building a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous learning.

About You

You're a hands-on finance professional who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, timeliness and clarity. You enjoy getting into the detail, solving problems, and building processes that just work. You lead with a steady hand, support your team to deliver, and bring a collaborative, practical mindset to everything you do.

• CA/CPA qualification (or working toward it), with 6+ years' finance experience.
• Strong capability across core financial operations including payroll, AP/AR, reporting, and compliance.
• Proven experience leading a finance team with clear task planning and delivery.
• A track record of improving processes, systems, or reporting timeliness in a structured way.
• Experience with MYOB, Deltek ERP and payroll systems (preferably ELMO).
• A calm, dependable, and solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
