As an Assistant in Nursing in our Cardiology Department, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients and the nursing team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to patient wellbeing and smooth clinical operations.
Assist patients with personal care, mobility, and communication needs
Provide nursing care within scope of practice under RN direction
Accurately maintain patient records and documentation
Support nurses in preparing for procedures and ensuring equipment is cleaned and ready
Actively contribute to safety, quality improvement, and a culture of person-centred care

Applicant must hold Certificate III Acute Care (HLT33115) or be enrolled in Bachelor of Nursing degree (second year)
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to use information technology systems
Proven ability to be self-motivated, flexible and adaptive as clinical needs arise, and still remain within the scope of practice of an AIN
Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
Demonstrate effective verbal and written skills, including the ability to communicate with the multidisciplinary health care team
