Overview

We are seeking experienced and motivated Consultant Psychiatrists to join a highly supportive and well-established team on Sydney's Northern Beaches. This is a permanent opportunity within a respected private hospital, ideal for professionals who thrive on clinical excellence and are passionate about improving mental health outcomes in a complex healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Start Date: Immediate availability
  • Schedule: Inpatient role, 2 days per week (one weekday and one weekend day)
  • Remuneration: Competitive VMO billings or attractive salaried package
  • Scope: No addiction certification required; detox managed by GP VMO

For nearly 30 years, this fully accredited 54-bed private hospital has led the way in addiction and mental health treatment on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive care including:

  • Medical detox and specialist nursing
  • Psychiatric assessment and treatment
  • Counselling, psychotherapy, and group therapy
  • Educational programs and individualised case management

Candidate Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
  • Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) essential
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality clinical care
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
